About Good People

Founded in 2015, Good People was born out of a collaboration between Parisian designer Clémence Goudard and artisans she met in Madagascar as she was traveling through Eastern Africa to join a local charity, La Maison d'Aïna.  After several months spent there blending in with the local community, she discovered the many talents and traditions of local craftsmen and women, and their use of indigenous fibers that they skillfully turn into everyday objects.  Their creativity combined with her desire to bring their talent to light led Clémence to start a training program around quality, with the purpose of creating a production process that would not adulterate their know-how.  The result: bags made with love, vision and integrity.  All around Good!
